The HAMS Jr. High Girls soccer team faced Bald Eagle this evening at Gobbler's Knob.  Huntingdon started off slow against an undermanned team from BEA who brought only 10 players to the game; the Bearcats were not aggressive in the early going and were slow to react and slow to attack when opportunities arose.  Despite the slow start, Huntingdon was able to move the ball forward and get excellent scoring opportunities when Natalee Honn and Aleia Eagle crossed the ball in front of the goal for scoring opportunities by Maria Sanchez-Garcia and Katelyn Kyper, but none with success.  Huntingdon's defense kept the ball in the attacking third of the field setting up Izadore Kazmarski for a free kick that sailed just over the top of the net.  Finally, near the end of the first half the Bearcats were able to connect when Aleia Eagle passed the ball to the wide side of the net setting up the first goal of the game by Natalee Honn.  

In the second half the Bearcats played much cleaner and more aggressive, scoring three goals by Aleia Eagle, a second goal by Natalee Honn, and one by Danelya Fortson for a final score of 6-0.  Molly Millar played the first half in goal but did not have any saves; Maria Sanchez-Garcia played the second half in goal and made two saves.  

The team is now 1-3 and faces Penn's Valley at home on Wednesday at 5:30.
