The Huntingdon jr. high girls hosted Tyrone at Gobbler's Knob this evening and played very well.  Tyrone was able to build a two-goal lead in the first half scoring on a through ball seven minutes into the game and again on a defensive failure five minutes later.  HAMS possessed the ball well and was able to connect passes to move the ball up the field, but were just unable to get any good looks at the goal.  In the second half the Bearcats continued to possess the ball well and came back on the scoreboard when Katelyn Kyper received a pass from Aleia Eagle and arched a high shot over the Tyrone keeper that reached the back of the net.  Izadore Kazmarski, Ava Miller, and Reagan Orenshaw were able to move the ball out of the defensive end up to Harlee Krepps, Julia Foster, and others in the midfield and eventually forward to pressure the Tyrone goal.  At the 15 minute mark of the second half Aleia Eagle was fouled inside the penalty area and Natalee Honn calmly put the penalty kick into the net, tying the score at 2-2.  The score remained tied until Tyrone was able to put a ball out of the reach of Huntingdon's keeper, Molly Millar and into the net with 8 minutes remaining to take the lead.  Huntingdon's chances to tie again were limited and Tyrone was able to hold on for a 3-2 victory. 

In the game Tyrone took 22 shots while Huntingdon took 3.  Molly Millar played the entire game in goal and made 17 saves.  Huntingdon is now 3-6 and is next scheduled to travel to Clearfield on Tuesday, 10/19 for a 5:30 start.
